Amon ( Amun - Amen) The Egyptians did have alot of deities and religious figures, so many so that the Egyptians themselves were often confused. Mythology doesn't really rear it's head in Egypt, but sometimes it did do in the form of songs or literature, but not often. How can a tale be made when you're not sure who the God is anyway? But the lack of stories doesn't mean a lack of diversity and interest. In my first Summary of Egyptian Deities, the list concerns only the most popular and fore-fronted figures, this list shall contain the other 'latter' divinities who were more local deities. One of these local gods was Amon (opposite), who, when his local town ( Thebes - modern day Luxor) was promoted to a vast centre point for Egypt, he also rose to become one of the most popular and most worshipped figures in Egypt's religion. So now without further ado...
